Scam or Safe is a public safety resource that helps everyday people recognise the patterns and red flags common to online and message-based scams.

Why we built this

Scams are getting more convincing, and they reach us through texts, emails, marketplaces, job offers, and social media. Most people do not need a security expert — they need a calm, clear explanation of what a suspicious message looks like and what to do next. That is what we try to provide.

What we do

• Maintain plain-language guides to common scams, including red flags and safe next steps.
• Offer a free scam checker that highlights patterns commonly seen in scams.
• Point you toward official reporting resources so you can take action.

What we do not do

We do not verify individual messages, companies, or people. We never claim that something is "definitely a scam" or "guaranteed safe," and we are not affiliated with any government agency, bank, or police force. Our guidance is educational and should be combined with checks through official channels.
